Jazz Jam at The Judge’s Bench Pub

The Judge’s Bench hosts the area’s only Jazz Jam. If you are a jazz player, come sit in with the hosting trio. Welcoming all jazz players, horns, sax, singers, rhythm instruments or others.  Just come by during the jam session and let them know you’d like to join. They’ll be playing mostly standards from the Real Books. If you’ve got your own chart, please bring copies for the band.

“Oil Paintings by Marian Gliese” Exhibit Reception at Artists’ Gallery of Columbia

BUILDING WOODLAND FAIRY HOUSES

Naturalists Van Wensil and Audrey Suhr: In the spirit of “Build It and They Will Come,” join us to build beautiful dwellings for the fairies in the Conservancy’s woodlands and stream edges. We will have bark, twigs, cones and nuts as “natural construction materials.” Before you come, feel free to take a walk with your children to hunt for natural building materials near your home.

The creative “country homes” and tree-side “villages” will be photographed and added to our Fairy House Memory Book on display at the Conservancy, where you can re-visit them…. “forever!”

Appropriate for families with children ages 10 and under.
