Art Exhibits : 

Natural Beauty Paintings at the Artist  Gallery:

Natural Beauty showcasing recent work created by local artist Marian Gliese.Exploring the art she sees everywhere in the natural world around her. The show will run from August 1 through August 2, with an opening reception on Saturday, August 5 from 3-6 pm at the Artist Gallery. 

Patapsco: Silent Witnesses to an Enduring Current at Howard County Museum of History 

Patapsco is a body of archival, photographic, and sculptural works anchored by the artist's relationship with the Patapsco River Valley.The series, which was inspired by the 2016 flood, works to illustrate a narrative through recovered objects, places and stories that have endured the passage of time. The exhibit will run  from July 29 through September 30 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) between 1pm to 5pm.

Uncontained Exhibit at the Howard County Center for the Arts

Uncontained features work by Lisa Moren and Lo Palmer. Moren displays marbleized papers created from pigment collect during BP's deepwater Horizon oil spill, while Palmer displays sculptural and installation work made with a variety of everyday materials transformed into intricate surfaces, inspired by aerial images of recent uncontrolled oil spills. Recurring daily from July 29 through August 11.
