Happy Father's Day, Howard County! Time to celebrate dad, or a special man in your life. From grilling in the backyard to relaxing by the range, there's an endless supply of fun and relaxation for dad out here in Howard County. 


Need something fun to do with dad or the whole family? This Father's Day Weekend be sure to check out LakeFest Weekend at the Columbia Water Front. LakeFest will feature an international spectacle performance, more than 50 visual artists from up and down the east coast, festive foods, and Clyde’s Howard on Tap Beer Festival featuring a Manor Hill summer ale brewed just for the Festival! KidzART will provide fun Children’s art making activities in the Simon Decker Arts Tent and there will be participatory children’s music activities with the Olenka School of Music.

If your dad if your favorite superhero, then pay a visit to Galactic-Con on June 16! Galactic Con features 100s of tables of guests, vendors and artists. Our vendors specialize in comics, anime, toys, books and pop culture. Multiple artists and creators will be present to display their work, offer sketches and take commissions.

For dads with younger kids, Clark's Elioak Farm will be celebrating dad with antique cars! There will be an antique fire truck and antique cars, farm & construction equipment, vintage Army jeep, a super-charged way cool pick-up and much more. 


Dad deserves a great meal with the people he loves. If your dad is a social kind of guy, check out The Longest Table! Share a meal and conversation with someone you don’t know, exchange stories about life in Howard County, and discover both common ground and new ideas. The dialogue starts when you come to the table. The Longest Table will be held outdoors on the campus of Howard Community College in Lots B and C, off the right spoke of the traffic circle at the main entrance on Little Patuxent Parkway. 

If you're looking for something more traditional, be sure to visit Alexandra's Restaurant Father's Day Brunch. From 11-3, indulge your special man with applewood smoked prime rib, mahi mahi, pulled pork, and more. Reservations are encouraged!


Is your dad more of an active guy? Mine is, so we typically we go to the gym together for Father's Day. Howard County is known to be one of the most active counties in Maryland, and with good reason! The 9th annual Ellicott City 5K/10K is the perfect way to start the day! Presented by Rip It Events, the 8th Annual Ellicott City 5K/10K is a single competitor event located in Ellicott City, Maryland. The course is appropriate for all levels of experience including first-timers. This race includes a relay and kids fun run option. Dad still looking for more after the race?
