Happy May the Fourth, and Free Comic Book Day! This is an exciting weekend in May for nerds and geeks far and wide. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, I'll break it down for you. May the Fourth is the semi-official Star Wars day for fans across the world. May the force be with you is a common phrase said between Jedi (and other Star Wars fans alike), so naturally May the Fourth became the holiday, born out of a pun. Free Comic Book Day (May 5th) is held on the first Saturday on May every year. Comic shops across the country join in on the festivities, offering shoppers free comic books, and sometimes more! This year May the Fourth and Free Comic Book Day fall back to back, making it a jam packed nerdtastic weekend. Here in Howard County we have a number of ways to celebrate this event, so grab your lightsabers, or your infinity stones (just please don't try and destroy the world) and get ready for an excellent weekend!
