Galactic Con features 100s of tables of guests, vendors and artists. Our vendors specialize in comics, anime, toys, books and pop culture. Multiple artists and creators will be present to display their work, offer sketches and take commissions.

Enchanted Forest 63rd Birthday:

Come dressed as a princess (or prince or frog) and hang out with our princesses. Children may also dress up in princess gowns we have at the farm for a photo opportunity with our princesses. Martha Clark will be signing "The Enchanted Forest: Memories of Maryland's Storybook Park"   Folks from Blossoms of Hope will be joining us on this festive day to do a craft with the kids and play games as well. You can also purchase a pink cherry tree in memory of a loved one.We will host our ANNUAL ENCHANTED FOREST EMPLOYEES REUNION from 12 noon to 4 PM. All former Enchanted Forest Employees will be admitted free. Come enjoy this enchanted day!

Chrysalis Kids: Dance Party:

Join Julia McCready, preschool music educator extraordinaire, for a dance party on the Chrysalis stage!  Gates open at 9:00 a.m. for playtime with Imagination Playground, and the tot-sized dance party gets started at 10:00 a.m.  This event is free, however, all attendees need a ticket to attend.  Parking will be assigned via email 48 hours before the event.  Food and beverage available for purchase.  Picnics also welcome (no glass or alcohol).  Suggested age 2-5, additional activities for older children.

HCC’s Arts Collective: Making Advances: Revealing Stories About Gender & Sexual Identity: 

Howard Community College’s (HCC) Arts Collective concludes its 23rd season with its eighth original devised work “Making Advances: Revealing Stories About Gender & Sexual Identity.” This production, conceived by the cast and creatives, will take place June 7-17, in the Studio Theatre located within the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center (HVPA).

Infinite Creator: 

You are the spectator. You are the artist. Fidel Carey-Realmo's interactive INFINITE CREATOR installation is a homage to the Great Creator within. Colorful, decorative boxes of all sizes will be located on the gallery floor, open to the public for putting them into various designs and patterns. As a backdrop to this interactive installation, Fidel’s abstract and mixed media paintings will be displayed on the gallery walls.

Resident Visual Artists Exhibit:

An exhibit featuring recent work in a variety of media by artists with studios at the Howard County Center for the Arts: James Adkins, Stanley Agbontaen, Joan Bevelaqua, Myungsook Ryu Kim, Art Landerman, Diana Marta, Brendan Nass, Joyce Ritter, Jereme Scott, Alice St. Germain-Gray, Andrei Trach, Jamie Travers, Mary Jo Tydlacka, and David Zuccarini.

The Longest Table

Share a meal and conversation with someone you don’t know*, exchange stories about life in Howard County, and discover both common ground and new ideas. The dialogue starts when you come to the table.

The Longest Table will be held outdoors on the campus of Howard Community College in Lots B and C, off the right spoke of the traffic circle at the main entrance on Little Patuxent Parkway. In the event of rain, the event will be moved inside.
