The Annual Preakness Celebration Balloon Festival is one of many events planned during the week-long series of special events celebrating the annual running of the Preakness Stakes, Baltimore's "Super Bowl" and the 2nd jewel in thoroughbred racing's prestigious Triple Crown. The Hot Air Balloon Festival has a long and colorful tradition going back over 30 years.

This vital story asks us to remember a dark moment in world history through the eyes of a young girl: Poignant and powerful, Anne Frank’s hopes and dreams shine in her words penned while hiding during the Nazi invasion of the Netherlands. This recent adaptation, containing more of Anne’s original writing and more forthright about the characters’ Judaism, makes this play more necessary than ever

Resident Visual Artists Exhibit 2019
In its 35th year at the Arts Council, this exhibit featured recent work created by artists who have studios at the Center for the Arts: James Adkins, Joan Bevelaqua, Han Jeon, Myungsook Ryu Kim, Art Landerman, Diana Marta, Brendan Nass, Joyce Ritter, Jereme Scott, Alice St. Germain-Gray, Andrei Trach, Jamie Travers, Mary Jo Tydlacka, and David Zuccarini. The artists work in a variety of media including oil and watercolor painting, drawing, fiber art, and glass bead-making.

Color & Places @ The Artists’ Gallery
Julie Gross presents a series of dynamic urban landscapes that explore the neon color palette associated with Miami, Peru and the Caribbean. She likes to use the magic of color and simply shapes while examining the effects of black light and neon oil color.

Multiple Dimensions at The Artists' Gallery 
Ceramic artist Kathy Swan and photographer John Stier combine their 2D and 3D media to present a multidimensional exhibit. This includes collaborative work that combines Stier's photographic images fired onto Swan's ceramic pieces, providing another dimension to both artists' work.
