July 7: “Life on a Howard County Farm Before Electricity” Art Boone

Mr. Boone speaks from experience, up until he was 10 years old his farm, right here in Howard County, was devoid of electrical power. He has preserved many of the old items used around the farm house of his youth, and will relate personal anecdotes of those days gone-by. Art is a member of the H.C. Antique Farm Machinery Club, the H.C. Conservancy, and the H.C. Historical Society. He regularly gives this presentation to school children and summer camp youth, hoping that that aspect of history won't be forgotten. Click here for tickets
