The River Hill Community Association is planning to have our long popular Independence Day Parade along Great Star Drive – after a 2020 hiatus due to Covid.
As always, this year’s parade will be held on July 4 beginning at 9 a.m. The River Hill Volunteer Fire Department will lead the way and the Boy Scouts will be our color guard. Veterans, businesses, and local officials will also join the procession.
Parade participants will gather in the parking lots at Pointers Run Elementary and Clarksville Middle Schools, travel the length of Great Star Drive, and end at Signal Bell Lane at the 5th District Fire Station. While we won’t have our traditional after parade festivities for parade participants and volunteers at the Fire Department, there will be no shortage of fun.
So, join in the fun. Come up with a plan for a parade entry, dig out those lawn chairs, hoist the American flag, find your red, white, and blue. The River Hill Community Association needs your help to celebrate Independence Day as founding father John Adams envisioned in 1776, with “pomp and parade”!
All parade entries/groups must register in advance and no later than June 25, 2021. Parade registration forms are also available online at www.villageofriverhill.org.
Completed forms must be turned in at Claret Hall or emailed to email@example.com. Questions may be directed to the Special Events Coordinator, Lesley Ahmuty, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 410-531-1749.
