Respite Retreats Invites All Ladies to A Charmed Affair – A Fundraising Event in Support of Cancer Patients and their Caregivers.

Respite Retreats, a local nonprofit organization serving those affected by cancer, cordially invites all ladies, princesses, and queens to join in the fun and merriment of A Charmed Affair fundraiser on June 11 2023. The organization is excited to host its 2nd annual unique fundraising event where registered participants in teams of four and dressed as princesses will enjoy a memorable adventure through picturesque Howard County. The excitement will begin at 10:00 AM at Xenia Greek Kouzina.

As teams embark on the princess themed photo quest, they will be presented with a list of photo and video opportunities to complete – each pursuit on the list will be assigned point values. Teams choose activities they wish to complete, competing to collect the most points. The royal squad who returns to Xenia with the most points will be awarded the grand prize. Once back at Xenia, the fun will continue with a delicious feast of Greek cuisine, beer & wine, costume contests, raffles, a silent auction, and door prizes.

I love getting people to step outside of their comfort zone and feel alive – it is something cancer patients are incredible at, and we can all learn from. Now we are inviting our community to have FUN and honor their inner princess while raising funds to support those in need. The healing that will come from this event for cancer patients and their caregivers, as well as for participants, is extraordinary,” says Wendy Letow, Executive Director of Respite Retreats.

A Charmed Affair directly supports Respite Retreats’ mission to provide no-cost retreats of respite to cancer patients, their caregivers, and families and to encourage healthy living for all.
