Join the celebration of HoCoPoLitSo's 45th anniversary with a unique historical exploration of the art that transformed our world. Explore the power of words from writers such as Langston Hughes and live jazz by such greats as Duke Ellington in a speakeasy atmosphere. Local poets, musical theater performers, and a jazz quintet will perform some of the most sophisticated literary and artistic works of the period. Tickets include a variety of speakeasy-inspired small bites. Cash bar available. Period attire encouraged. This magical evening honoring former artistic director Lucille Clifton is presented by HoCoPoLitSo in partnership with HCC’s Arts Collective.
