No one else sounds like Aaron Neville. His falsetto is instantly recognizable, whether he is singing in the second line jazz and funk of his beloved New Orleans as one of the Neville Brothers, or in his GRAMMY-winning duets with Linda Ronstadt.
Aaron Neville returns to the 2017 Columbia Festival of the Arts with longtime pianist Michael Goods for an evening of songs and stories. In 2005, he wowed Festival audiences, performing with the Neville Brothers. This time around, Aaron will sing his favorite classics from rhythm and blues, soul, and even the street-corner doo-wop of his youth. Audience members will experience this stripped-down encounter in the intimate setting of the James Rouse Theatre. This one time performance promises to showcase both the songs Aaron loves as well as his famously expressive voice, an unmatched instrument in American music.
