Columbia Pro Cantare will commemorate the centennial of the passage of the 19th amendment giving women the vote with a concert of music by women composers, past and present, Sunday, March 8, 2020, 4 pm, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3604 Chatham Road, Ellicott City. Codirector Laura Lee Fisher will lead the full chorus and the CPC Chamber Singers who will be joined for this concert by the Dunloggin Middle School Choir. Featured on the program will be works by Fanny Mendelssohn, Clara Schumann, Amy Beach, and Jennifer Higdon. Tickets are $20, $18 (students and senior citizens) in advance; $2 more at the door.
