“Dreams Realized” is an enchanting art exhibit showcasing the creative endeavors of four talented artists: Trudy Babchak, David Charles Knipfer, April Rimpo, and Loreen Western. Through their unique perspectives, these skillfull artists capture the essence of their aspirations and emotional connections to memories or real places. They breathe life into their work inviting you to experience your own visual journey inspired by their artwork.
Trudy Babchak, impressionistic painter, and the daughter of two Holocaust survivors constantly explores emotions in conflict. A daunting and irresistible part of her artistic journey has been the personal challenge to render joy, relief, fear, and guilt poetically on the same canvas.
David Charles Knipfer’s woodworking journey began 25 years when, unable to find bedroom furniture for his infant son, he challenged himself to do better! Since then, his design aesthetic has evolved, he now creates wood art pieces with the intention that the object be passed down through generations.
April Rimpo is a dynamic artist who loves experimenting with watercolor and fluid acrylic paints! With an idea in mind, April allows the unpredictable flow of her paints to be part of her process. She paints knowing her original idea may take on a new direction as the paint moves, and she’s excited by the possibilities.
Loreen Western Inspired by the elements of nature, the designs and color themes of Loreen’s work reflect aspects of the sky, clouds, water, flowers, leaves, trees, and landscapes. Loreen uses rich, saturated color to produce her interpretation of nature in her original hand-painted silk scarves.
Dreams Realized Art Show begins 1 pm Sunday, 27 August, with the Artist Opening Reception, and runs through September 26.
