Hear how the two Ellicott City Courthouses, now part of the National Park's Service's Freedom Trail, challenged the institute of slavery through decisions made in historical court cases. Then, immerse yourself in the navigation of the Underground Railroad. On a short hike, learn how signals sewn into quilts, lyrics od songs, and natural signs were used to guide fleeing slaves North along a safe route. End in the planetarium where you'll discover the stars and constellations that served as their nightly beacons.
