Artist Kelly Walker discusses her action-packed,
explosively colorful painting techniques in “Faux to
Abstraction.” Walker is originally from Evansville,
Indiana, and is now happily Baltimore-based. She is
a profound talent — an “Artstar” — who makes a
living producing artwork that is irrepressibly visible
and magnetically embraced. Her work is imbued with a
captivating, kinetic quality. Though inspired by visual
artists like Warhol, Modigliani, Basquiat, Banksy and
many others, Walker is an original. Matters of her
mastery of commercial painting, as well as painting
framed as fine art, will be part and parcel of this
inspiring presentation. Her lecture will no doubt touch
all who attend in an equal, soul-satisfying fashion.
