The Festival presents nationally and internationally known artists, and attracts visitors from throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

LakeFest will feature an international spectacle performance, more than 50 visual artists from up and down the east coast, festive foods, and Clyde’s Howard on Tap Beer Festival featuring a Manor Hill summer ale brewed just for the Festival!

KidzART will provide fun Children’s art making activities in the Simon Decker Arts Tent and there will be participatory children’s music activities with the Olenka School of Music.

Bands on the lake stage will include mid-Atlantic favorites such as Chopteeth Afrofunk Big Band and Los Gaiteros de Sanguashington.  Last year’s favorites return – the US Navy Band Cruisers, along with the Bullbuckers, Nelly’s Echo, and The Sidleys.   Home-grown stars will include the Glenelg Jazz Ensemble, the Columbia Jazz Band, the Centennial Jazz Band, and the Columbia School of Rock.

LakeStage Artists:


School of Rock Columbia - The school is committed to developing the next generation of music-minded students and their All-Star students will kickoff LakeFest this year.


Nelly’s Echo- Nelson appeared on Season 3 of The Voice, winning over fans and judges with his live performance of “Amazing Grace.”


Chopteeth Afro Funk Big Band- "An expansive, larger-than-life performance that turns into one giant party” (DC Music Download) that's "hard to resist" (Axs).


Mr. Gabe & the Circle Time All-Stars- Folk songs, modern classics, and originals for children, ages 0 to 6.


The Sidley’sThis Bethesda based family band has performed at venues and festivals all over the U.S including The Kennedy Center, Blues Alley, Arena Stage and The Fillmore.


Gaiteros De Sanguashinton - The band plays a variety of Colombian rhythms including vallenato, cumbia, and tropi-pop. Gaiteros de Sanguashington has emerged as one of the premier Colombian bands in the Washington, D.C. area, recognized and beloved by the Colombian and Latino community and those who enjoy international music.


All Our Exes Live in Texas - All Our Exes have toured with Nathanial Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Backstreet Boys, Passenger, Midnight Oil, and appeared at Folk Alliance, SXSW, and AmericanaFest, in addition to major Australian festivals.


US Navy Band Cruisers - U.S. Navy's premier contemporary entertainment ensemble, the Cruisers feature eight of the Navy's most dynamic performers.


Bullbuckers -  Ska, Reggae, & Soul. Yeah- it's that kind of party. 


Wilde Lake Steel Drum Band - The Wilde Lake High School Steel Drum Band is well known for its performances of a variety of music, from Calypso to Soca, as well as jazz.


Centennial Jazz BandThe talented students from the Centennial Jazz Band always deliver.


Maryland Winds- Maryland Winds is a professional wind ensemble led by Col (retired) Timothy Holton, performing in the DMV area with educational outreach in Howard County.


Columbia Jazz BandThe 26 member Columbia Jazz Band consists of musicians from all over Howard County. In their non-musical lives, they work in varied professional fields such as medicine, social work, engineering, computer science, education, law, and more.


Glenelg Jazz Ensemble - The Glenelg Jazz Ensemble has received more than 60 awards over the last 15 years, including the highest rating at the Maryland state Jazz Festival.
