This year, we’ve frequently made nods to the fact that this Merriweather season is the 50th, full of shows where MPP “Greatest Hits” veterans will return to fill the venue with their respective sweet sounds. Now, we’ve nailed down the official Anniversary Concert, with Jackson Browne (returning to where he recorded “Running On Empty” in 1977!) and the Red Headed Stranger, Willie Nelson & Family co-headlining the party. There’ll also be a stellar opening set from everyone’s favorite oddball songwriter (and Rockville native) Father John Misty. Special guest host Grace Potter, who’ll be talkin’ and singin’, rounds out this golden affair. As with most great parties, space is limited, so make sure you hit up our presale this Thursday at 10am to get your foot in the door. This night’s going to be one for the history books.
