MERRIWEATHER MOVIE NIGHTS

MACC brings you a FREE night out at one of the East Coast's best outdoor venues, Merriweather Post Pavilion. Grab a seat under the pavilion or bring blankets, pillows, and chairs for the lawn, and get ready to watch a film you won't forget!

One of the most iconic films of the 1980s, Ferris Bueller's Day Off follows high school senior Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) as he fakes an illness to take a day off school and go on adventures all around Chicago with his friends Cameron (Alan Ruck) and Sloane (Mia Sara) while Principal Ed Roony (Jeffrey Jones). This funny and raucous comedy has been beloved by audiences for decades and is sure to transport you back to your madcap high school days.

Also, this Movie Night will feature a celebration and awards ceremony for the Howard County Department of Parks and Recreation's Adult Scavenger Hunt. From DRP: "Gather a team of 2-6 adults for this fun, sustainable adventure and amazing local race with a new finale celebration at the Merriweather! Each team is given some challenging tasks to perform and a list of items to find in Howard County (including downtown Columbia ). Teams must register by noon on Sept. 22. Entries are due by midnight on Sept. 24. Then bring your friends and family to a party and awards ceremony (preregistration is required) on Oct. 5. Thank you to the Downtown Columbia Partnership and Merriweather Arts and Culture Center for their support."
