Nourishing Fats: Fats are our Friends, but they are not created equal!

In this nutritional cooking class taught by Jaime Brooke, a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and Julie Webb, an Innkeeper at The Inn at Mary’s Land Farm, we will explore the topic of nourishing fats. Contrary to what many think, healthy fats are critical to overall health.

Fats have many important roles in our bodies, including being a vital part of absorbing some nutrients and producing important hormones too! We literally need them to thrive. However, all fats are not created equal. Jaime will share why we NEED these fats in our diet, which fats to include in your everyday food life and which fats to avoid all together. Following her presentation, participants will gather in the commercial kitchen for hands-on food preparation and cooking tips with Julie.
