About The Visiting Artist
Jessica “JG” Gatlin (she/her) is an artist, maker and part-time sorceress based in Baltimore, MD. In her interdisciplinary practice, JG uses both speculative and terrestrial approaches to pursue ways to deconstruct and dismantle the oppressive structures within a White Supremacist Capitalist Patriarchy. Jessica Gatlin received her BFA in Studio Art from Florida State University and MFA from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. She has participated in several reputable artist residencies and fellowships, including the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, PL, the Ox-Bow School of Art, and Artist Residency, Saugatuck, MI. In 2019, JG served as the Hamblet Artist-in Residence at Vanderbilt University. Currently, she is Assistant Professor of Print and Extended Media at the University of Maryland, College Park.

During the workshop, each participant will make their own print. Lunch Break at 12:30, bring your own brown bag.

HOROWITZ CENTER OPERATING HOURS
The Box Office is open for in-person and over-the-phone ticket purchases, Wednesday through Friday from 12-4p.m. Contactless purchasing is preferred. Online ticket sales are available 24/7.
E-tickets, also known as print-at-home tickets, are preferred. These tickets can be scanned through a contactless transaction either on your phone or on a paper you print at home.
