Tourist Area and Corridor Signing Program

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (SHA) is implementing the Tourist Area and Corridor Signing Program (TAC) in Howard County. The program installs signs along selected state and county roads to guide motorists to Maryland recreational facilities, historical attractions, and cultural treasures. To apply for the program, interested participants are asked to visit www.roads.maryland.gov/tac. The link provides the program description, eligibility criteria and the application form. There is no fee to apply for the signing program.  Questions may be emailed to taccoordinator@mdot.maryland.gov.  If interested, please submit the application between October 1, 2023 and November 30, 2023. Previous applicants to the TAC program will need to reapply to be included in the new TAC Signing Program. SHA will be sending a transition letter to participants of the LOGO program.
