Local HoCo Open Rewards
Visit Howard County is excited to announce the launch of the Open Rewards program, a new initiative under the Local HoCo campaign that rewards residents and visitors for supporting locally owned businesses throughout Howard County.
The Local HoCo campaign—introduced initially in partnership with the Howard County Economic Development Authority, the Howard County Chamber, and Howard County Government—promotes the value of shopping, dining, and spending locally. Now, through the addition of the Open Rewards program, the campaign is making it even easier and more rewarding to support the small businesses that make Howard County unique.
Open Rewards is a simple, app-based program that gives consumers 5% cash back when they shop at participating Howard County businesses.
For shoppers to participate and start earning cash back, simply
- Download the Open Rewards app
- Link a credit or debit card
- Start earning rewards automatically with every eligible purchase at a Local HoCo merchant
No punch cards, QR codes, or receipts required!
Participating businesses are clearly identified with the Local HoCo seal, signifying their participation in this rewarding initiative. Businesses do not need to sign up or pay any participation fees—if they’re listed on the app, they’re in. There are no forms to fill out or programs to manage.
