Ellicott City, MD (February 21, 2025) - Visit Howard County, in partnership with US Quadball is excited to announce that the 2025 USQ National Qualifier is heading to Howard County, next month, March 1 - 2, 2025.
The US Quadball National Qualifier will be hosted in Howard County, Maryland, at Troy Park in Elkridge. This event brings teams from across the East Coast region to compete for the right to advance to the Quadball Cup.
USQ’s spring season kicks off with Nation Qualifiers in Texas, California, Maryland, and Illinois. National Qualifiers are cornerstones of the USQ competitive season, in which teams compete for the title of regional champion in their division and qualify for the national championship. Quadball is a mixed gender, fast-paced, contact sport. Created in 2005, it’s played by thousands of athletes in nearly 40 countries worldwide. USQ is the national governing body for the sport of quadball in the US. USQ advances the sport by organizing events and programs that build community and empower adult and youth athletes of all identities, including all races and genders, to compete together.

“From its humble beginnings at Middlebury College in 2005 to now spanning more than 600 teams across nearly 40 countries, Quadball is a one-of-a-kind sport encompassing elements of rugby, basketball and dodgeball, that we are thrilled to welcome back to Howard County,” said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball. “Our Department of Recreation & Parks’ staff is geared up and ready to host competitors, family, friends and spectators at this year’s US Quadball National Qualifier at our award-winning Troy Park at Elkridge. The four synthetic fields are proudly maintained by department staff to ensure that it lives up to the recently won award as the SportEvents Magazine Readers’ Choice All-Star Outdoor Sports Event Venue, recognizing it as one of the best in sports the events and tourism industry.
