Capitoline Center

  • 8360 Court Ave.
  • Ellicott City, MD 21043

The Capitoline Center opened on March 9, 2026. The Center is in the former Historic Ellicott City Courthouse building. While the interior has been remodeled, the exterior remains the same architectural treasure, a beautiful 1843 Classical Revival style inspired by ancient Greece. The building is located on a steep hill once known as Capitoline Hill. The Capitoline Center’s mission is to foster the arts and culture of Howard County by providing a space for community engagement and cultural expression. The center serves as a hub for tourism, economic support, and community gathering, while celebrating the diverse heritage of Ellicott City.
