Thanks to a beautification project “Blossoms of Hope”, over 3000 cherry blossom trees have been planted throughout Howard County. These beautiful blooms attract a multitude of visitors to Columbia and Ellicott City with their timeless elegance and effortless charm.

Ready for farmers market season? Get an early spring preview of the farmers market season ahead! On March 7th, the Clarksville Commons will be holding their March Spring Preview Farmers Market where everything sold at the market is either grown, raised, or made in the Chesapeake region. You’ll find local produce, meats, eggs, sweet and savory baked goods, locally grown flowers, prepared food, and handmade crafts.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 26th, 2026 for 250 Years of Innovation in Howard County at the Baltimore & Ohio Ellicott City Station Museum! Celebrate 250 years of industrial progress in the county with a special presentation exploring the evolution of local industry and technology, from the early mills and iron furnaces of the 1770s to the arrival of the B&O Railroad and the modern innovations that continue to shape our world today!

On Sunday March 29th, join Backwater Books at Manor Hill Brewing for a spring edition of Books & Beers in the Barn! From 12-4pm, adults and children can browse the incredible selection of books, stationery, and more as the barn transforms into a family-friendly bookstore. Adult guests will enjoy sipping on farm brewed beer or seltzer while they shop for unique gifts. The Farm will be open from 12-7pm with the Pizza Trolley, Live Music, and more to enjoy!

With Easter approaching, now is the perfect time to plan for all of the egg hunt festivities. Join Howard County in the celebration with an assortment of family-friendly activities—from egg-citing egg hunts, immersive petting farms, play areas, and more!

If you’re looking for an immersive, fun-filled experience for the whole family, Clark's Elioak Farm has everything you need: baby ducklings, adorable bunnies, and, of course, the highlight of the season – egg hunts! Clark's Elioak Farm will be holding their Egg Hunts Galore from March 28th - April 5th, 2026. Children ages 1 to 3 and 4 to 6 will have the opportunity to search for eggs throughout the day. The egg hunts are scheduled at regular intervals, so you can join at a time that works best for you.

You can also experience the magic of life on the farm at Mary's Land Farm where they'll be hosting their Easter Eggstraveganza from March 28th-29th & April 4th, 2026. Your family will love encountering adorable barnyard animals, enjoying the megaslide and play areas, and of course taking part in the Easter Egg Hunt! Admission will grant you access to an engaging egg hunt, candy bag, games, wagon rides, and live shows! There'll also be food trucks available to keep you well fed while you make use of the picnic and play areas.
