Presented by Columbia Association, Lakefront Live turns summer evenings into unforgettable experiences with free concerts, waterfront views, and room to spread out. Whether you're bringing a picnic, taking a sunset stroll, or settling in with a chair and local takeout, this beloved event in Downtown Columbia blends music and community with unbeatable vibes.

Lakefront Live Summer Block Kickoff Party
This year’s season kicks off in style:
- Saturday, May 30th, 2026: The Community Beer Garden & Summer Block Kickoff Party starts summer at the lakefront from 4:30PM to 8:30PM, headlined with a spectacular performance by Tap band, produced by Merriweather Arts and Culture Center (MACC).
- Friday, June 12th – Sunday, June 14th, 2026: Columbia Festival of the Arts' LakeFest Free Weekend fills the lakefront with art, music, and performers, with free admission.
- Friday, June 19th, 2026: Celebrate Juneteenth with a full day of music, culture, and connection from 2PM - 8:30PM, right on the water.
- Saturday, June 27th, 2026: Teens can celebrate summer with a Glow Party on the Lakefront! From 6PM - 10PM, teens ages 13-17 can dance to the hottest tracks spun by a live DJ, play LED mini-golf, air hockey, chess and yard games, check out the Instagram-friendly stations, and grab a bite from the food trucks.
Starting June 5th, 2026, and continuing all summer long, the Downtown Columbia Lakefront becomes a hub for free fun, featuring community dance lessons and outdoor movie nights under the stars. Whether you're here for a one-night show or a full weekend of fun, Lakefront Live offers a perfect taste of summer in the heart of Maryland.

Whether it’s a family night out or a laid-back date night, AMPed in the Park hits all the right notes. Settle into a lawn chair at Color Burst Park while the kids dash through the splash pad with ice cream in hand, or kick back with someone special and soak in the vibes. Right in the center of the Merriweather District, this free concert series blends local charm with global sounds, offering a stage for rising stars and genre-bending performers alike. On select Thursdays this summer, each moment – a family on a blanket, a couple dancing to the beat – adds to the larger rhythm, as visitors and neighbors come together under the open sky.
